About Christmas Textile Ornaments (ASC139)

Create seasonal fabric decorations for your home or tree during this one-day workshop.

What will you learn on this course?

Working with Christmas fabrics and colourful felts, learn to make 2D and 3D seasonal decorations.

You’ll be inspired by the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser whose work is characterised by bright, bold blocks of colour and swirling lines. Using techniques such as applique, embroidery and quilting, create 2D tree ornaments and 3D objects such as trees or houses.

At the end of the course, you will have a number of finished pieces to take away and decorate your home.

Who is this course for?

This one-day course is suitable for adults aged 18+ years working at all levels.

At the heart of MAC is a focus on accessibility and inclusion. Dexterity in hands essential. The course may require sitting at a machine or leaning over a table to cut fabric.

Please contact us to discuss your specific access needs. The room is wheelchair accessible. A personal assistant or companion must book a complimentary ticket if attending to provide support.

Do you need to bring anything?

A selection of essential sewing equipment, fabric and sewing machine will be provided.

You are welcome to bring any Christmas material you’d particularly like to work with.
