About Custom Clothing: T-Shirt Splicing (ASC74)

Up-cycle and create new clothing in this one-day workshop.

What will you learn on this course?

Taking inspiration from Waste Age: What can design do? a major group exhibition on display at MAC, we’ll be re-purposing your old t-shirts to make new wearable pieces.

Your day will begin with a visit to the exhibition to seek inspiration and ideas. Back in the studio, your tutor will lead you through the steps to transform your preloved clothing into new pieces.

Learn techniques in hand stitching, applique and embroidery to create new from old.

Add stiches, tares, buttons or fabric badges to accessories your item even further.
