Ladies Styling Salsa with Damarys Farres (ASC152)

Transform your Salsa with a unique opportunity to learn and perform with a Cuban Salsa expert.

What will you learn on this course?

Led by Damarys, the director and founder of The Cuban School of Arts, and a highly respected choreographer, educator, and ambassador of Cuban and Afro‑Cuban dance, this session offers a unique opportunity to connect with her passion, energy, and deep cultural knowledge.

In this hands-on workshop from 11am - 1pm, Damarys will guide participants of all levels and ages through styling techniques informed by her rich background in salsa, rumba, Yoruba, Bantu, and other Afro‑Cuban styles. Participants will then learn a new Ladies Styling routine, designed specifically for this session.

After this (and a well-earned break!) from 2pm - 3pm you’ll have the chance to perform in a very special, afternoon showcase alongside Damarys, celebrating your progress and community spirit!

This event promises to be a vibrant, inspiring experience. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a transformational day: learn from a true expert, deepen your connection with Cuban culture, and shine on stage alongside fellow participants.

This course is also an excellent opportunity to socialise and meet new people in your community who share your passion for dance.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for adults aged 18+ years. It is open to all levels of dancers.

At the heart of MAC is a focus on accessibility and inclusion. Please contact us to discuss your specific access needs. The room is wheelchair accessible. A personal assistant or companion must book a complimentary ticket if attending to provide support.

Do you need to bring anything?

Please bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Smooth soled shoes with a small heel or trainers are fine for this class.

The afternoon showcase is a free public event, you are welcome to invite friends and family to watch.
