What will you learn on this course?
Discover the rhythm, passion, and power of flamenco in this new four-week course.
Through fun exercises and short choreographies, participants will:
• Learn the basics of flamenco rhythm (compás) and movement
• Explore how to express emotion and confidence through dance
• Discover traditional flamenco music and culture
Learn expressive movement, footwork, and rhythm — no experience needed! Join us for four energizing Sundays of music, movement, and olé!
After many years of studying Flamenco in Spain, Freddie is excited to bring this dramatic dance practice to MAC.
This course is also an excellent opportunity to socialise and meet new people in your community who share your passion for dance.
Who is this course for?
This course is for adults aged 18+ years at all levels. No prior dancing experience is required.
At the heart of MAC is a focus on accessibility and inclusion. Please contact us to discuss your specific access needs. The room is wheelchair accessible. A support worker or carer may assist; carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending to provide support.
Do you need to bring anything?
Please bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Smooth soled shoes with a small heel or trainers are fine for this class. If you have flamenco shoes or shoes such as character shoes that have a solid heel please do bring with you.
