About Make Your Mark Printing Workshop (CSC272)

Design and print your own tote bag and placard inspired by the work of Benjamin Zephaniah.

What will you learn on this course?

Well known as a campaigner for human and animal rights, Zephaniah’s work is full of inspiring messages and slogans.

On this morning workshop, families will explore different printmaking techniques to create unique pieces as we celebrate the life of one of Birmingham’s finest poets.

There will be a selection of Zephaniah’s work to inspire you or bring your favourite quotes from home.

Your tutor will introduce a range of techniques including monoprint and collagraph printing.

Each participant will create a number of pieces to take away.

Who is this course for?

This morning course is suitable for children aged 7 to 14 years olds accompanied by their parent or guardian who are looking for an opportunity to enjoy learning together. It is open to all levels.

The workshop is accessible for people of all abilities. Parents and guardians work with their children and all activity is planned to meet the specific needs of the group. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to account for key age developments, materials being used, and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefor need to be adhered to.
