About Salsa (DA29 Spring)

This 12-week Salsa dance course is perfect for couples and singles who want to learn the art of Salsa in a fun and relaxed environment.

What will you learn on this course?

Experienced dance teacher Thomas O’Flaherty, who has almost 30 years of experience of teaching salsa and has won multiple national dance titles, will guide you through the basics of Salsa dancing in a fun and relaxed manner.

Each week you will learn the essential techniques and partner moves that will have you moving to the Salsa beat with rhythm and style.


Salsa dancing is not only a great way to learn a new skill, but it also offers a variety of health benefits, including:

  • improved cardiovascular health
  • calorie burning
  • increased flexibility
  • low-impact activity that's easy on the joints and can be modified to suit individual needs and abilities.

This course is also an excellent opportunity to socialise and meet new people in your community who share your passion for dance.

Who is this course for?

This course is for adults aged 18+ years at all levels. No prior dancing experience is required.

At the heart of MAC is a focus on accessibility and inclusion. Please contact us to discuss your specific access needs. The room is wheelchair accessible. A support worker or carer may assist; carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending to provide support.

Do you need to bring anything?

Please bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Smooth soled shoes with a small heel are ideal, trainers are not appropriate for these classes.
