About Textiles: Surface Decoration (TE07 Spring)
Explore surface decoration in textiles, with a particular focus on using inspiration from a chosen theme such as an artist, architecture, nature, history, graffiti, travel etc. and explore a variety of techniques to incorporate in your work.
What will you learn on this course?
This course offers a practical introduction to textile surface decoration.
You will start your design work by experimenting with mark making – taking inspiration from different objects – to make several samples, using a range of textile techniques. You will then progress to create a final piece, such as a book cover, picture, wall hanging or similar.
