Ilias Lintzos

Ilias started playing music at the age of fourteen. He moved to Birmingham in 2009 after he graduated from Informatics & Telecommunication of University of Athens. In Birmingham, he continued his studies at the Academy of Music and Sound. His music studies also include three years at Modern Music School in Athens, one-to-one lessons with drummers such as David Garibaldi and Dom Famularo, many masterclasses and drum camps.

At the moment he works as a session drummer and percussionist, nationally and internationally. He has toured Europe a couple of times and he has shared the stage with Legends such as Dandy Livingston, Derrick Morgan, Winston Reedy, The Melodians and many more.

Ilias has been teaching, both mainstream and special education, for the last eight years. He loves sharing his knowledge in aim to help new musicians build their musical skills.

Ilias says: “I've been working at MAC, as a drum tutor, since September 2017. I'm teaching one to one drum kit lessons along with world percussion workshops, both for kids and adults including SEN. MAC is a great place to be and especially, a great place to work. I love being surrounded by so many talented people.”

Ilias teaches Play Drums and World Percussion.
