Imogen Richards (she/her) is a British Fine Artist specialising in Painting and Ceramics. In 2019 she graduated with a Painting BA (Hons) degree from Edinburgh College of Art. She has exhibited in Edinburgh, Vancouver, Cambridge and Birmingham.

Imogen developed a fascination for Ceramics through a course at MAC and is now undergoing a Masters in Britain's Ceramics capital: Stoke on Trent. Imogen's passion for the subject derives from a culmination of her fine art skills: painting, drawing and printmaking, and from its ability to combine fine art and functionality. She likes to view her pottery as 'practical waterproof paintings'.

Imogen's work explores a combination of imagination and observation. She likes her work to depict peaceful and dream-like worlds that balance the edge of reality with pieces that combine the bold and the ethereal. Her main inspirations are the theatricality of nature and domestic spaces.

As Art Technician and Tutor, she has worked with diverse learners. She is excited to share her journey with learners at the MAC and is passionate about helping others on their creative journey.
