Qualifications

Following her foundation at Central Saint Martins, Isabella studied Sculpture and Environmental Art at The Glasgow School of Art. During her final year she created an original musical at Platform Theatre, Glasgow, leading a community cast which sparked her interest in facilitation. Isabella has always enjoyed working with young people and trained as a facilitator with Youth Theatre Ireland and Graffiti Theatre.

Biography

Isabella completed a puppetry course with Rogue Artists Ensemble in Los Angeles which supported her practise in performance. She has created puppets for short film, lead shadow puppetry projects with young people in Breaking Barriers theatre and performed tabletop puppetry in libraries across county Cork. In 2023 Isabella was awarded a bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland which expanded her practise with Young People and Community Education.

Isabella has previously been a resident artist in primary and secondary schools in Cork, Ireland delivering workshops in drama, creative writing and visual arts. She holds a Masters degree in Arts Management and Creative Producing and has worked as producer in various festivals, as well as previously coordinating a youth circus programme.

Isabella is passionate about sharing the sparkle of theatre and art with children and enjoys creating work that champions youth voices. She loves story telling and using a playful approach to create fun and exciting projects, as well as writing and creating her own work as an artist.
