Katherine Howes
Katherine Howes is an artist and art educator based in Birmingham. Howes has gained over 20 years of experience in education since qualifying to teach at UCE in 2005. Howes has taught in a variety of schools including one of the country's leading independent schools, where she currently works, as well as in community, therapy and art gallery settings. In 2022, Howes return to University and gained a Masters with distinction at BCU.
Since she completed her Masters in Art and Design, Howes has taken part in various events and exhibitions as an Artist, including collaborations with Amass Artists; a West Midlands based art collective. Her work has been exhibited both locally and nationally, including at the RBSA and Selfridges. Her current interests combine media in new ways and delve into theories on 'looking', with recent experimentations utilising the digital, and its relationship with physical space.
Howes has a real passion for helping others to discover their own inner creativity and skill, and also learning new approaches herself along the way.
