An educator of 15+ years with 10+ years teaching in colleges, Neil is a writer, DJ/ producer and audiovisual artist. He studied English Literature and Creative Writing at UEA and Sound Art at UAL:LCC.  

He DJs fortnightly for TooHotRadio, has produced several dance music albums and EPs, as well as collections of sonic poetry. He has also collaborated on releases with an able-assisted hip hop artist.  For one of his albums, he made a virtual listening environment, in the form of a nightclub, with Birmingham Open Media. He collaborated with a BSL poet for his installation ‘In Motion: Not Silent Poetry’. It featured on the MUSLAB ‘Planejo Completo 5’ DVD, distributed in art galleries worldwide, and released on Cero records, Mexico. It was recently exhibited at the Centro de Cultura Digital in Mexico City as part of the Planeta Complejo: Diversidad exhibition.  His sound work has also been part of Radiophrenia, Glasgow, and Fringe Arts, Bath, as well as featured on Resonance FM and Resonance Xtra. He has performed with David Toop and workshopped with sound artist Peter Cusack.

As a writer, he has written several collections of short stories, poetry, a YA novella, a memoir and an autofiction novel. He has co-facilitated workshops in creative writing and taught scriptwriting.  Also an accomplished fine artist, he has exhibited nationally. He draws, produces digital art, photography, collages and experimental films. The latter featuring in the City Lit film and animation festival. He has made art prompt cards inspired by Brian Eno’s ‘Oblique Strategies’.
