Nick Greenhough
Nick has worked in the jewellery trade since 1980. Nick has served two apprenticeships within the trade, one for diamond mounting and the other for watch case making and repairing. Nick attended the Birmingham school of Jewellery Part time and won the jewellery mounting prize in 1983.
Nick has been self-employed in their own jewellery manufacturing and repairing business within the Birmingham Jewellery Trade since 1990. In Nick's capacity as a manufacturing and jobbing jeweller, they have a customer base spread across the length and breadth of the country and has previously worked for many County and High street jewellers including Garrard and Asprey.
Nick has been teaching Jewellery classes primarily at Josiah Mason F. E .College then at MAC (since reopening), part time at all levels since 2007 after gaining their teacher training qualifications Qualified Teacher in the Lifelong Learning Sector (QTLLS), and subsequently their BA Hons degree and PGCE in Inclusive Education (Worcester University). Nick is also a member of the Society for Education and Training MSET.
Nick thoroughly enjoys passing on their specialist Jewellery skills and knowledge acquired over the years, and has enabled many students of all ages and capabilities at MAC to improve their technical skills to widen their existing skills base.
