Terry is a self-made potter with a lifelong passion for ceramics. Terry’s interest in pottery began at school, but after pursuing a different career, he stepped away from the craft for a number of years. During that time, he also worked with Mencap charities supporting people of differing abilities and teaching pottery and creative arts, this then gave him a strong belief in the importance of creativity being accessible for everyone’s enjoyment.

Eventually, Terry returned to pottery as a student at the MAC, where he rediscovered his love for working with clay. This journey reignited his passion, leading him to set up his own small business and website, focusing mainly on wheel-thrown pottery.

Now, he is delighted to return to the MAC in the role of tutor. Sharing his skills and enthusiasm with others is something he care deeply about, and will strive to make pottery enjoyable and inclusive for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
