Tom Woolley
Tom Woolley is an award-winning filmmaker, producer and educator with a passion for helping people tell meaningful stories. Based in the West Midlands, he works across film and television projects in production, development and camera roles, while writing and directing his own films. Alongside this, he is the Coordinator & Lead Script Analyst for WriteMovies.com and Manager of the West Midlands Screenwriters Forum, where he supports writers through script development, mentoring, events and industry opportunities.
Tom's films have won awards at competitions and festivals across the UK. Most recently, his short film I'm Toby won the Reel Brum 48 Hour Film Challenge and the Audience Award at the Birmingham Film Festival. He has also worked across a variety of independent productions, including short films, TV pilots and music videos, supporting projects from development through to delivery.
Tom has extensive experience teaching filmmaking to young people and emerging creatives. He previously taught Film & TV for over three years at a performing arts academy and has delivered workshops and guest talks for Birmingham City University and the Birmingham Film & TV Market. His approach combines practical filmmaking skills with creativity, collaboration and confidence-building, encouraging participants to develop their ideas and bring them to life on screen.
