Vanessa is an independent Jewellery Designer-Maker based in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter and a Visiting Tutor and Artist in Residence at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham.

Vanessa graduated from Birmingham's prestigious School of Jewellery (BCU) with Distinction in Jewellery and Silversmithing (HND) in 2016. Vanessa is an alumni of the Goldsmiths Centre London where they attended ‘Getting Started’ a week long intensive business start-up course. Vanessa works with the Crafts Council on the project ‘Make Your Future’ as a maker where they teach electro-etching and jewellery making in Birmingham Secondary Schools.

Vanessa set up their business immediately after graduation and sells their work locally, nationally and internationally through exhibitions, events, galleries and online. Vanessa also works to commission.

Vanessa's work was selected for exhibition by the British Art Medal Society and Wolverhampton Art Gallery: Craft Open. Vanessa designs and makes unique silver jewellery inspired by nature, the world around them, holidays and carefree, happy childhood memories and design with a smile in mind. Vanessa uses a variety of techniques such as etching, hand carved and modelled milliput; embellishing silver with pure gold using the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo and setting and using a variety of semi-precious stones.
