About Upcycled Pallet Mosaics (ASC130)

Turn reclaimed materials into colourful mosaic treasures for your home or garden. Perfect for eco-minded makers, curious creatives, and anyone who loves hands-on art with heart.

What will you learn on this course?

Get creative and eco-conscious in this unique mosaic workshop that brings together sustainability and art! You’ll transform a recycled wooden pallet base into a vibrant, one-of-a-kind mosaic piece, perfect for brightening up your garden or adding personality to indoor spaces.

Upcycling is a creative way to reuse materials that might otherwise end up in landfill. It saves resources, reduces waste, and gives new life to old objects, turning them into something useful, beautiful, and meaningful. Did you know that upcycling one wooden pallet saves about 15 kg of carbon emissions compared to disposal or burning? Now imagine turning that into a piece of lasting art!

In this workshop, you'll:

  • Work on a reclaimed wooden pallet base, prepped and ready for transformation
  • Choose from a colourful selection of glass mosaic tiles, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use
  • Learn how to design your mosaic, either by following one of our templates or sketching a simple design of your own
  • Use professional tools to cut and shape your tiles, and explore how to arrange them for flow and balance
  • Finish your piece by learning the art of grouting, making your creation weather-ready and durable

Whether you’re looking to explore a new craft, refresh your garden, or simply enjoy a relaxing and rewarding creative experience, this workshop offers it all. With expert guidance in a relaxed and welcoming environment, you'll leave with a completed piece, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for the power of reimagining what we already have.

Create less waste, more beauty, and a mosaic that tells a story.

Your mosaics need to be grouted and will need 24 hours to dry. Hopefully this will be completed in class but could be finished at home or left in our secure cages to dry and collect at a later date.
