About Benjamin Zephaniah Day: A Festival of Rhythm, Unity and Revolution
Join us for this special event, co-hosted by Qian Zephaniah, to celebrate the life and legacy of one of Birmingham’s best loved poets with music, dance, performance poetry and community.
Featuring local poets Casey Bailey and Zakariye, and welcoming new voices to the stage, through a vibrant open mic session. Poetry Open Mic sign up will be open from 11.30am. Max 5 mins per performer, all levels of experience welcome. Plus from 12pm - 3pm there will be a free drop-in arts workshop, taking place in the Entrance Foyer.
