About Benjamin Zephaniah Day: Rhythm, Unity and Revolution
Join us for this special event, co-hosted by Qian Zephaniah, to celebrate the life and legacy of one of Birmingham’s best loved poets with music, performance poetry, spoken word, crafts and more.
Featuring local poets Casey Bailey, Zakariye, Vig, and welcoming new voices to the stage, through a vibrant open mic session. Poetry Open Mic sign up will be open from 11.30am, maximum 5 minute performance per poet, all levels of experience welcome.
Plus from 12pm - 3pm there will be three free drop-in arts workshops taking place in the Entrance Foyer and Terrace Gallery, hosted by Kulchalee Arts, Ampersand Projects and Sassketch.
