About CJ Lloyd Webley: Work-in-Progress Sharing of Lyndhurst Memories

Award-winning writer and social entrepreneur CJ Lloyd Webley BCAe is set to share a powerful new work-in-progress, Lyndhurst Memories. This unique performance is a reflection on home, belonging, and the emotional weight of change.

Through Lyndhurst Memories, CJ revisits the estate he grew up on, returning to the “Washyard”, once a vibrant sanctuary of childhood play, now lost to redevelopment. As he retraces his past, navigating personal nostalgia and the harsh reality of transformation, the piece delves into identity, loss, and the profound impact of place. Lyndhurst Memories asks: what happens when the space that shaped you no longer exists, and how do you move forward?

CJ, who recently received a British Citizen Award for services to community and education, has dedicated his career to uplifting and empowering those from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the arts and other opportunities that are often out of reach.
