About Critical Thinking workshop in response to Su Richardson's exhibition

To complement Su Richardson’s exhibition In Stitches, this workshop connects her work to academic texts.

Participants will explore how domestic crafts like knitting and crochet challenge traditional gender roles, redefining these practices as acts of resistance and feminist expression.

Led by researcher Anong Bentur.

The first workshop will focus on ‘Women's Studies in the Core Curriculum: Using Women's Textile Work to Teach Women's Studies and Feminist Theory’ by Brenda D- Phillips. A copy of this text will be available to read during the workshop. You can access this text online through setting up an account online and choosing a free access option.
