Ryan Young

Scottish fiddle player Ryan Young will release his third studio album, In the Quiet After, on 21 May 2026. Produced by Irish fiddle legend Martin Hayes (The Gloaming), who also performs on two tracks, the album is a deeply expressive and atmospheric work. The lead single, “Jenny Dang the Weaver”, arrives 29 April.

Working within Scottish and Irish traditions while quietly reshaping them, Young has built a reputation for a distinctive, emotionally resonant style — slowing familiar tunes into something more introspective and cinematic. On In the Quiet After, that instinct reaches new depth.
