About Saris in Time: A Community Workshop
Free, drop in | 2pm - 4pm | Garden Studio
Did you know that during the Second World War, Indian women wore saris for their training?
Join us for a family friendly event to learn and engage in these fun stories. There will be colouring activities, craft activities and a chance to learn these wonderful stories. The event is part of South Asian heritage month and a collaboration between Believe in Me CIC and MAC. These stories are part of the Indian Women and War project curated by Believe in Me CIC to mark the 80th anniversary VJ Day (Victory over Japan) when the Japanese tried to invade Burma. There will be stories of how India was Partitioned in 1947.
