About Srishti Masterclass

Ekata is a compelling solo Bharatanatyam dance performance that continues the unparalleled collaboration between dancer/choreographer Nina Rajarani MBE and vocalist/composer Y Yadavan of Srishti - Nina Rajarani Dance Creations. This production is touring to Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) on Sunday, 9th February 2025.

We are excited to present a series of four masterclass sessions for advanced dance students of any classical Indian dance style. These sessions offer dancers a rare opportunity to learn a specially choreographed piece under the guidance of Artistic Director Nina Rajarani MBE and/or a Srishti company dancer. The experience will culminate in a curtain-raiser performance as part of the Ekata show on 9th February 2025 at MAC. Beyond learning a new choreographic work, participants will gain invaluable insights into the creative process of working with professional artists while enhancing their understanding of performance preparation, including stage presence, rhythm, and audience engagement.

Ekata showcases Nina Rajarani’s signature style, and culminates in a powerful group finale performed by four Srishti dancers, blending rich classical Indian dance and music for a captivating experience.

This husband-wife duo has toured internationally for over twenty years, presenting their work at reputed venues and festivals worldwide.
