Fly into a heart-warming tale this Christmas and join Rosie the Owl on her festive feathered adventures!

Join Rosie the Owl as she wakes up one day to find herself nestled in a family's new Christmas tree. Experience the joy and wonder as Lily, Ethan, Mum and Dad discover their unexpected visitor and try to help Rosie find her way home.

From authors John Hay and Garry Parson and inspired by a true story, this charming tale celebrates the power of love, kindness, and the magic of Christmas.

With toe-tapping songs, captivating puppetry, and plenty of opportunities for audience participation, this delightful show promises to captivate audiences of all ages.

Relaxed events at MAC are designed to improve the experience for people with Autistic Spectrum conditions, sensory, motor and communication disorders, learning disabilities and anyone who would benefit from a more adapted environment.

The main lights remain on, the volume is reduced, and we hope you’ll feel comfortable to remain inside should you need to make noises or move involuntarily. We sometimes offer a pre-show introduction to the venue and performers, signalling anything that may be big, loud, or unexpected.

If you need a break, you can speak to our staff and they will point you towards a quiet area to relax.

Evangeline Dickson

Evangeline trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. 

Theatre includes: Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Red Rose Chain Theatre); the title role in Pinocchio and Peter Rabbit in The Tale of Mr Tod (Red Rose Chain Theatre); Terri in Speed Dial (Spies Like Us at Pleasance Theatre); Macbeth and A Midsummer Nights Dream (The Young Shakespeare Company).
Television includes: Fool in Ore for Netflix, Twin in Crooked House for Netflix, and Flapper Girl in The Halcyon for ITV.


Ffion King

Ffion trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Credits include: Annie in Project Medi (Cwmni Ffynnu), Eleri in Funeral Crashers (National Theatre of Wales), Cat in Casualty (BBC) and Jasmine in Aladdin (Stage Ed). As a writer she is on commission with the Sherman Theatre for their Spring 2026 season, was on BBC writers 2024, has written a radio play for National Theatre of Wales and was shortlisted for the Casualty writers scheme. 

Katriona Brown

Katriona is a Sheffield born puppeteer and theatre maker.

Nisha Anil

Nisha is an Actress, Arts Manager, Storyteller, and as a Children’s T.V. Presenter for the BBC. She graduated from Dartington College of Arts. You may recognise Nisha from her Presenting days on television for CBeebies ‘Same Smile’, guest presenter on CBeebies UK and as the channel host for CBeebies Worldwide Asia.

Sean Garrat

Sean graduated from East 15 Acting School.

He has worked with companies such as, The National Theatre of Scotland, The Lyric Chicago, The Globe, Manual Cinema, Theatre Rites, MIF, National Theatre studios, and Little Angel Theatre, to name a few. Sean co-developed and stared in, the table top puppet show ‘The Table’ with Blind Summit Theatre in 2011, winning the Edinburgh Fringe First award that year and subsequently toured with the production, both nationally and globally for 7 years thereafter.
