
About The Poetry Days 2025: A Tribute to Māris Čaklais
Marking what would have been the 85th birthday of celebrated Latvian poet Māris Čaklais, this special literary-musical event honours his legacy as part of Latvia’s annual Poetry Days. Featuring live poetry readings by Birmingham Little Theatre and London’s Trepes Theatre, with songs by Īstais Mārtiņš, Klāvs Freibergs, and Helmuts Feldmanis. Special guests actress Karīna Tatarinova and musician Roberts Dinters present “Conversation Concert: Čaklais. Another View”.
