MAC at 60: A History of MAC in 60 Objects

From autumn 2022 we are proudly kicking off a celebratory season for our 60th anniversary. MAC at 60: A History of MAC in 60 Objects is an exhibition about people’s personal experiences with Midlands Arts Centre and how it has contributed to the everyday lives of residents, artists, visitors, and former and current staff. From September 2022 - January 2023, 60 objects chosen from across the six decades of MAC’s existence will be exhibited around public spaces in the venue.

MAC is looking for people to submit personal objects associated with the arts centre from 1962 to the present day. These objects can be anything that tells a story about MAC, from photographs to ceramics, tickets, pieces of music, posters, visual art, videos, documents, stories, poems, or even puppets.
