About Genevieve Robertson

The exhibition will showcase work by a Canadian artist Genevieve Robertson, spanning drawing, painting, monotype printmaking and video.

Inspired by Robertson’s personal history in the Canadian forestry industry and her interest in ecological systems, the exhibition will examine two forested sites separated by 310 million years and 7,000 kilometres: the ancient swamps of the Black Country and a recently fire and logging-affected slope in British Columbia, Canada.

The exhibition will explore interconnection between natural and industrial histories, vegetal intelligence and ecological trauma.

Kindly supported by Arts Council England and players of People's Postcode Lottery.
