About Marcia Michael: The Family Album
Discover The Family Album, a powerful and moving solo exhibition by Marcia Michael. As a multidisciplinary artist of Caribbean descent, Michael reimagines the family album to explore the beauty and depth of Black family connections in British history.
Through her works in ‘The Study of Kin,’ ‘The Family Album,’ and ‘The Object of my Gaze,’ she captures intimate family moments and challenges stereotypes, celebrating Black love and identity.
The exhibition features stunning photographs, sculptures, and archival imagery, inviting visitors to reflect on their own family histories.
