A female photographer stands on the roof of a white car in an arid, desert-like landscape, taking photos with a professional camera. She wears sunglasses on her head, a light pink long-sleeved shirt, and tan cargo pants with sturdy boots. Multiple cameras hang from straps around her body. The background shows a sparse, sandy terrain with scattered trees and small figures of people in the distance under a pale, hazy sky.

About BFI LFF 2025: Love + War

There are few women like Lynsey Addario. A decorated photographer who, for over two decades, has documented the horror and complexity of the theatre of war, she is also a wife and mother of two young children. With incredible access to Lynsey’s personal life in London and on the treacherous fields of combat, Love+War follow the internal struggles of a woman living two very different lives.

Presented as part of the 69th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express.
