Winner of the Grand Jury Dramatic Prize at Sundance, this taut and devastating film follows a child trying to navigate life after witnessing a sexual assault. Featuring brilliant performances from Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan, Josephine is a devastating drama that follows a child trying to navigate life after witnessing a sexual assault. Weaving thriller and horror conventions into a serious, sobering scenario, director Beth de Araújo creates an often uncomfortable yet vital film that interrogates how we explain the unspeakable.

Presented as part of the 70th BFI London Film Festival.
