In this provocative two-hander from writer/director Elliot Tuttle (also making his feature debut), sex worker Aaron Eagle (newcomer Kieron Moore) agrees to visit the home of an anonymous client offering him $50,000 for an overnight stay.
When he arrives, the balaclava-clad man he's faced with (Reed Birney) has other plans. Insisting that his guest sit down first for an extensive video interview, it quickly becomes clear that this stranger knows a lot more about Aaron than he could have anticipated – including his real identity.
As the stranger's own identity is also revealed, Blue Film dives headfirst into an examination of desire, power dynamics, trauma and abuse, with the two characters' night making for a gripping, provocative, tightrope-walk of a drama.
