About CODE: DAMP Experimenta Mixtape + Q&A
The textures, domestic surrealism and atavistic underbelly of the British television sit-com are unpicked and excavated in idiosyncratic fashion in Sophie Sleigh-Johnson’s strange new book CODE: DAMP and this one-off Experimenta film and television cut-up screening mix.
With references to The Fall, the Situationists, medieval musical instruments, 1970s horror, cuneiform tablets and Holsten Pils, Sleigh-Johnson’s world is at once weird, wonderful and frightening.
Sleigh-Johnson will also be chatting after the screening with Will Taylor from the BFI.
