A man in an elaborate Victorian-era costume poses with arms outstretched in a cobblestone courtyard. He wears a bright pink double-breasted frock coat, matching pink top hat, a dark navy bow tie with a peacock feather brooch, and cream-coloured gloves. He has a styled moustache and a confident expression. Wooden barrels and rustic stone and brick buildings are visible in the background.

About Film Stories present Madfabulous + Q&A

Meet Toppy, a fabulously flamboyant aristocrat. Born in 1875, he inherited a fortune and promptly set about spending every last penny of it on jewels, theatre productions and scandalously lavish parties. While polite society clutched its pearls, Toppy became a beloved figure to the people of Bangor.

Callum Scott Howells leads a game cast in Celyn Jones’ quirky period drama, one based on the life of Henry Cyril Paget - the dancing Marquess of Anglesey who stuck his nose up at societal norms.

The screening will be followed by a live onstage Q&A with director Celyn Jones. Hosted by Film Stories founder Simon Brew.
