TODO WIRE UP

Side on view of a woman in a hijab.

About Hijabi + Q&A

Hijabi tells the compelling stories of five British women - including Asmaa Shuweikh from Birmingham - who choose to wear the hijab and their resulting experiences of Islamophobia in the UK.

Their testimonies are unflinching accounts of the constant fight for dignity and respect in a sometimes hostile culture. Together, their engaging stories offer insight and hope in the mission to challenge racism and hate crime.

The screening will be followed by a live onstage Q&A with campaigner Amna Abdullatif, activist Asmaa Shuweikh and director Samir Mehanovic. Hosted by journalist Tasnim Nazeer.
