We see an older woman with short gray hair and glasses at what appears to be a protest or demonstration. She's wearing an olive green jacket with a red bandana around her neck and is holding a megaphone decorated with stickers including one that says "PAY" and another that appears to say "FIGHT FOR 15" (a campaign related to minimum wage advocacy). There are other people visible in the background, and red banners or flags can be seen.

About Iron Ladies + Q&A

Iron Ladies tells the story of the working-class women who, during the 1984–85 Miners' Strike, found themselves at the forefront of a battle against the British state.

From Scotland to Kent, women from the coalfields shed light on their experiences of the year long struggle, and how they became the backbone of the Strike. With many still active today, the actions of these iron-willed women reshaped the landscape of political activism for working-class women.

The screening will be followed by a live onstage panel featuring Rose Hunter (North Staffs Miners Wives Action Group) and others TBC.
