About Kaleidoscope: Missing Believed Wiped
TV archivists Kaleidoscope have once again been busy little bees and unearthed another selection of classic TV which was ‘missing believed wiped’.
Expect a lost edition of This Is Your Life, the untransmitted edit of the very first Poirot mystery to be broadcast on television in 1962 and a Q&A with special guest Michael Newport, an actor best known for the BBC 1968 version of Treasure Island.
10am: Michael Newport Q&A

10.45am: The Rag Trade - Baby Dolls
BBC production originally transmitted in 1963.
11.15am: The Golden Shot
12.05pm: Half Hour Story – George’s Room
A Rediffusion Television production originally transmitted in 1967, directed by acclaimed director Alan Clarke.T his episode was made in Electronicam colour as an engineering experiment. It was a film camera with a small video camera attached to it, so the director saw an electronic image from each camera in the gallery and was able to cut between them as normal. This original version has been unseen since 1967.

5pm: This Is Your Life - Colonel Alastair Pearson
Key individuals and anecdotes from the life of Colonel Alastair Pearson, commander of 1st Parachute Battalion 1942 - 1943. Includes footage of the Pegasus Cafe in Normandy, home movies of Pearson and a performance of the regimental march 'Colonel Alastair Pearson'.
