A group portrait of eight young men crowded into a doorway with chipped, pale green paint. They wear white tank tops and loose, high-waisted trousers in khaki and olive, several with leather belts and thin chain necklaces. Their poses are relaxed and playful: one crouches in front holding a vintage leather football with a cigarette in his mouth, one grimaces comically at the camera, and others lean on each other or raise an arm overhead.

About La Bola Negra

La Bola Negra tells the story of three men whose lives are intimately connected through desire, pain and inheritance, across three different eras – 1932, 1937 and 2017. Suffused with desire, grief and hope, this incredible film is a sweeping exploration of memory, inheritance and queer history.

A genre-defying queer epic, rooted in the legacy of beloved writer Federico García Lorca, this is majestic and uniquely original filmmaking from Spanish duo Los Javis.
