An animated image showing a young woman in a bikini lying on a beach next to an orange umbrella. She is reading a book. We can also see a glass jar, through which a small child with bright green eyes and a green hat peers. There is also some kind of beach mollusc sat in front of the jar.

About Little Amelie

Driven by the joy and confusion of a little girl’s discovery of the world and her place within it, Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han’s astoundingly beautiful animation feels like it’s arrived from a different planet.

In late 1960s Japan, toddler Amélie finds the world a peaceful, perplexing mystery until a rapturous encounter with chocolate ignites her wild sense of curiosity about…well, everything!
