About Next To Normal
Next to Normal is an intimate exploration of family and illness, loss and grief, featuring a thrilling rock score from composer Tom Kitt and lyrics from Brian Yorkey.
At its heart is Diana (Caissie Levy in an Olivier Award-nominated performance), a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past. Filmed last year at the Wyndham’s Theatre in London, Next To Normal won three Tony Awards and is one of only ten musicals to ever win the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
