About The Castle
Continuing our deep delve into the televisual work of Michael Haneke, The Castle is adapted from Kafka’s unfinished novel and offers an unnerving descent into a labyrinth of bureaucratic confusion – one which masterfully evokes the writer’s tone and vision.
Playing a man trapped in a bureaucratic hellscape of Franz Kafka’s crafting, Ulrich Mühe brilliantly captures K’s bewilderment and despair as he finds himself slowly suffocated by red tape.
