A striking still from "The Phantom of the Opera" (1925), one of the most iconic silent horror films. The image captures Lon Chaney Sr. in his legendary portrayal of Erik, the Phantom, showcasing the dramatic makeup and prosthetics that made this performance revolutionary for its time. Chaney, known as "The Man of a Thousand Faces," designed much of his own makeup for the role, creating the Phantom's skull-like appearance with sunken features, exposed teeth, and an upturned nose.

Beneath the sewers of the Paris Opera House, a masked figure dwells. He is Enrique (Lon Chaney), the Phantom, a hideously disfigured composer whose dream is to turn chorus singer Christine (Mary Philbin) into a diva. This adaptation of Gaston Leroux's novel gave 'Man of a Thousand Faces' Lon Chaney his most famous role, and is celebrated today as one of the great classics of American silent film.

Join three piece ensemble Harmonie Band for this special screening that will feature a live soundtrack provided by saxophone, cello and accordion.
