Now is the time to learn about the age-old heritage craftsmanship of basket weaving! Join us on this one-day course to learn the fundamentals of basketry and weaving with willow.

What will you learn on this course?

Be inspired by MAC’s exhibitions by artists Genevieve Robertson (on display Sat 25 Apr - Sun 5 Jul)  and Clare Hewitt (on display Sat 18 Apr - Mon 31 Aug), who both use natural materials to create their work.

•    How to use the appropriate tools for basketry
•    Different types of weave, wale and border techniques
