About Fairy Folklore Illustration (CSC153)

Be inspired by the mythology and history of traditional ‘faeries’ to create a beautiful personal illustration.

What will you learn on this course?

During this one-day course, you will learn basic drawing techniques and principles while taking inspiration from ‘faery’ folklore stories.

Disney fairies step aside! We are exploring traditional images of the fae, with beautiful flora and fauna to enhance your illustrations.

Working with water colour, ink, pastel and pens you’ll learn new techniques to bring your creations to life. We’ll also utilise tracing paper to create your desired images and boost drawing and creative confidence

The tutor will guide you through the drawing process and will offer one-to-one support when needed. This course is open to all levels and no previous experience is required.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 12 to 17 years. It is open to all ability levels and does not require any previous experience. We provide a learning support worker and all our staff our DBS checked. Parents are not expected to accompany children on the course.

The course is accessible for children of all abilities, who can participate in practical arts and crafts activities. A parent or companion may attend to assist the child if required; companions must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to consider key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
