About Family Weaving (CSC122)
Get creative as a family, learn how to make a woven artwork together inspired by the colours of summer. You will work on a willow frame and use beautiful decorative threads and yarns create your own family artwork to decorate your home.
What will you learn on this course?
You will learn how to make a woven artwork using a willow frame and decorative yarns inspired by the colours of summer and natural forms.
You will be guided throughout the day by a professional Artist tutor who will teach you how to work with willow frame, how to weave using threads and yarns, and make a beautiful artwork together.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for children aged 6-11 years accompanied by a parent or guardian. The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. The room is wheelchair accessible.
Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
Do you need to bring anything?
All materials are provided. Children should dress appropriately as some of the visual art workshops can get a bit messy.
