Lisa Broughton
Lisa is a practising Artist/Maker and has extensive experience is teaching.
Lisa completed a MA and BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Fine Art (Sculpture) working with both traditional and contemporary materials. She now specialises in Textiles in particular she makes 3D / Sculptural work using construction techniques to manipulate textile materials.
Lisa creates the work for private and public commissions she also sells and exhibits her work, some of which are part of permanent exhibitions and collections.
As Lisa’s creative practice developed so did her willingness to pass on her skills and knowledge through teaching – Lisa has an abundance of skills which she delivers in Fine Art and textiles.
Lisa uses her fine Art background to deliver traditional and contemporary skills in drawing and painting courses. Learners gain skills in drawing, painting. printing and collage using a vast spectrum of mediums and materials.
Lisa uses her skills in Textiles to deliver hand embroidery, applique, weaving, printing, foiling, knitting as well as many other textiles techniques.
Her aim is to provide learners with the confidence and skills to explore Fine Art and Textiles in a fun and relaxed environment.
