Learn some top techniques to inspire your terrifying tales in this Halloween themed writing class.

What will you learn on this course?

This half-day course will bring some Halloween fun into creative writing. We’ll learn how to craft a great ghost story and think about how to make it ‘scary’. Explore famous ghostly tales and discuss many of the fascinating features of ghost story writing.

Carol’s approach is about building confidence and finding enjoyment in dreaming up ideas and using these ideas to begin writing creatively.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 7 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and levels of experience. We provide a learning support worker and all our staff are DBS checked. Parents are not expected to accompany children on the course.

The course is accessible for children of all abilities. A parent or carer may assist their child if required but must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to consider key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
