About Salsa Improvers (DA31 Spring)

Take your Salsa to the next level in a fun and relaxed environment.

What will you learn on this course?

In this Improver-level class, your experienced teacher will help you deepen your understanding of authentic Cuban-style Salsa. You’ll refine your footwork, enhance body movement and styling, and advance your lead-and-follow technique, expanding your Salsa partner work vocabulary and refining your existing knowledge with greater clarity and precision.

Building on your fundamental skills, you’ll explore more complex partner patterns, improve your timing and musicality, and develop a smoother, more expressive dance style. The class draws on a rich understanding of Cuban technique to create a supportive, engaging atmosphere where learners are encouraged to grow, experiment, and enjoy the process.

Week to week, you’ll add new combinations and essential techniques that will boost your confidence on the dance floor and help you move with rhythm, flow, and style.

Salsa dancing is not only a great way to learn a new skill, but it also offers a variety of health benefits, including:

  • improved cardiovascular health

  • calorie burning

  • increased flexibility

  • low-impact activity that's easy on the joints and can be modified to suit individual needs and abilities.

This course is also an excellent opportunity to socialise and meet new people in your community who share your passion for dance.

Based on feedback from our learners, our Yoga, Tai Chi and Dance courses are now sold as 6 weeks blocks. We hope this provides participants greater access to classes that support physical and mental wellbeing.
