About The Art of Flowers (VA102 Autumn)

Artists have always been inspired by nature. Learn how to integrate flowers in your craft by capturing their beauty and using it as a tool to create unique works of art through painting, drawing and collage processes.

What will you learn on this course?

Throughout the course, you will explore the work of famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Elizabeth Blackadder, Monet, Klimt, and the many ways floral and botanical themes can be interpreted, stylised and used in art. You will be able to expand your skills palette and we will give you the opportunity to experiment with a multitude of mediums and art styles.

You will also be able to experiment working with a large variety of mediums – from oil pastels, watercolours and gouache, all the way to collage, paper flower sculptures and so much more. You will be part of a creative and empathic community, and you will always have the choice to participate at the level you feel comfortable.

The participants will be given the chance to explore, learn, and practice contemporary and traditional art styles and will be guided through the process along the way.

The course will take place in our Garden Studio, where you will be surrounded by beautiful scents and flowers that will certainly inspire your creation process!
