Serge Sanghera began his ceramic journey in 2005 at the University of Wolverhampton where he achieved a first class degree in Ceramics and gaining recognition for his performance of wheel throwing by winning the 2009 Students Award at the International Ceramic Festival.

After completing his degree, he delved even further into his wheel throwing practice by completing a Masters in Ceramics and creating aesthetically pleasing and tactile forms using the concept of Yin Yang and the golden ratio.

Serge was selected at the One Year On New Designers (London), as well as various galleries/exhibitions such as the Saatchi Gallery (London), Art in Clay (Hatfield), British Ceramics Biennial (Stoke-on-Trent).

Images of my work have been published in magazines such as the Ceramic Review, Crafts magazine and in a book by a renowned thrower, Linda Bloomfield “Advanced Pottery”.

Over the past eleven years Serge has passionately taught wheel throwing to people of all ages at various venues such as family craft centres, schools, universities, private classes, ceramic exhibitions. At present he is developing his work as an artist in residence.
