About Bio Yarn Workshop

Discover how sustainable materials are transforming the design world! Join artist and workshop facilitator, Eleanor in this hands-on workshop where she'll share the biomaterial knowledge she has gained since graduating from university as she guides you in creating your own yarn samples made from seaweed!

Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, curious about biomaterials, or exploring innovative applications in fashion and textile design, this is a unique opportunity to experiment, learn, and connect. You’ll leave with your own handmade algae yarn samples and fresh ideas for how natural resources can inspire the future of design.

Please bring a container to transport your wet yarn samples home safely.

This workshop is part of Art History Festival 2025 organised by the Association for Art History.
